Get More from Your Life Insurance with Bajaj Allianz - PART 1

We all dream about having a secure future, we look for a worry-free life in terms of health & finance. Everyone is recommended to plan about their lifestyle, finance, health insurance, retirement & fitness goals. Don't you think, in today's fast running world this is too much to manage or think about? I would say "Yes" it is. But don't you think it's worth it.

In today's extremely dynamic space, uncertainty and volatile economic conditions have made it people to look for a worry-free protection solution which not only can give them a solid financial foundation but also provide multiple protection against disability or critical diseases rather than giving a plain vanilla life insurance. Also, the Fitness & Health Quotient has been drastically reduced in recent times because of increase in pollution, stress & new lifestyle.
If we can have a plan which allows us to manage both Finance & Fitness on our fingertips, it can turn out to be an awesome deal.

If you need more from your Life insurance & worried about your Health, you need a term plan that can give you a solution in terms of financial planning & protection. A product which is designed to protect and meet an individual's present and future financial needs that can help him as a buyer to chart his financial planning in a worry-free manner.

The Insurance company is all set to release a perfect shield to gift your family against the “IF’s of LIFE” on your fingertips– helping you go in the “Jiyo Befikar”.  The product is getting launched this weekend with a mobile-based application which can help you to track your fitness goals along with incentives to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The company has also launched an interesting Twitter app game and product quiz on social media called #IfsOfLife. You can also join the contest & win some exciting prizes.

The new online term plan & mobile-based application is about to launch this Friday on 23rd December. Stay tuned for my next post (Get More from Your Life Insurance with - PART 2)  covering the insights from launch event & detailed information on both the products. In Pursuit of Happiness - A Quora Story

Last week  I read an interesting question on Quora which was related to salary & growth of income of experienced IT professionals. The question is mentioned below:
Question:

Is there any software engineer who started at very less salary and now earns huge?

There were multiple answers to this question & few of them were really helpful & full of motivation. So if you are also looking for an answer to this question & need some motivation read the below answer & you will feel good.

Answer:
Intro & Occupation: Started off as a software engineer. Got into the entrepreneurship bandwagon. Currently owning two companies. Part of service industry as well as manufacturing health care products.
Education: Post graduate in computers.
Starting salary: Rs.3000/month (2001). Then to 4.25 CTC (2003). Doubled to a CTC of 9.5 (2009). Started off business ventures.
Current salary: Now having multiple incomes from different business ventures. Not sure about the real worth of companies.

Now the story line …
I guess I've taken a slightly different path than most of the people around here. I did a post graduation in computers. I flunked it and was in the league of least 10% of sixty students from a famous university.
2001 Dec - 2002 June
An intern with no salary working on simple MS Visual Basic applications. A time of regret for not performing well during post graduation.
2002 July - 2002 Nov
Software Developer earning Rs.3000/- per month which too they never paid on time. Left this job when it was too poisoning.
1 month I worked for a telemarketing company for daily wages of Rs.500/- thru an event management firm. I bought jeans for Rs.390/- and bought myself a chicken Biriyani after the first day of work. It was very satisfying. The food tasted so good. My boss was very happy about my work. I was happy too because it paid me money for having proper food. My boss hugged me once and said she had never met someone like me. She was very uncomfortable as I was over qualified for the job. I had not told them about my educational background as I wanted to earn. Later, after joining I had to tell them. But it helped me to realize I was different. I was welcomed at their home. Her family helped me out when I started a venture later.
3 months worked as a project coordinator for computer science students for their semester projects for a famous IT training institute in Bangalore. Handling 8 small projects but earning a bare minimum living. Had to fight with the owner of the company as he was not keen on giving me the salary. Finally, after helping the students finishing with their projects, I left the job. Two of them spoke to their parents and they gifted me Rs.5000/-.
I promised myself I would never work for a small place. I had no clue on how to handle the situation as I was jobless.
I was praying for a good job. After 9/11 & dot com burst world was still in a shock and Bangalore had very fewer chances for less experienced.
I was very unlucky too…
I managed all rounds of interviews for a famous IT company thru an employee referral scheme. But because of linguistical favoritism, the recruiting manager gave an opportunity to someone else. I came to know it thru the HR itself. I went to collect offer letter that day, where the HR itself was found upset over the issue as they had given a verbal confirmation including CTC. I just came out of that place and walked till the place of my stay (approx 10 km) because I had nothing else to do. I reached my place very tired and slept. Didn't eat for a day.
Another time, my college mates managed an opportunity with a company where there was a requirement for 4 people. They couldn't reach me on time as mobiles were not so common those days. All the three of them got thru. I was loosing hope….
I was trying hard for interviews and finally God’s grace, managed it at Dell.
2003 Dell - CTC of 4.25. My parents cried when they heard the news. My grandma was overjoyed. I was relaxed. Slept well.
2005 - Saved around 5 lakhs and started a side business and worked on it in the evenings and weekends.
2006 - business started returning the effort. Earned around 12 lakhs per year from my venture and 6 lakhs from Dell.
2008 - left the venture due to partnership issues.
2009 - joined Sun micro systems. CTC 9.5 lakhs
2009 - started off another business venture while working at Sun. Invested 30 lakhs taking personal loans and managing from savings. I used to shiver in fear because the amount was so huge for me. Everyone around me wanted me to buy a home and I was like putting all that I've into a business.
Worked day & night. My days used to start at 7 am at the office. I was awarded multiple times for performance. Business flourished. Used to go home only for sleeping. Got married and had our first baby too.
2010 - Rejected offers to travel abroad and decided to stay back in India for growing the businesses venture. Refused to travel after getting a US visa :). Yes, I did that. In 2001, I wanted to work abroad so badly. I used to go near departure of Bangalore airport (currently HAL airport) to see people traveling.
2010 - Left IT industry after a role change. I was unable to manage both job and the business venture.
2011 - Bought 50% partnership in a firm which required investment. Investment amount was 20 lakhs. My other venture was still growing but I was taking a salary of only 50k per month.
So a dip in monthly income but my capital left to grow at a good pace.
It was tough to meet household expenses during starting of these years. People around me started feeling unhappy about me leaving the IT industry. I had a hard time convincing everyone.
2012 - 2015
Great three years. God is so great. God provides me with everything I need.

I decided I would please my family too. Bought our first Mercedes. An upgrade from a very noble car. Bought a house for ourselves. An upgrade from a rented house.
I'm happy to contribute to my society too. I found that to be more satisfying than earning money. Did help individuals for food, medical expenses, and education. Helped in the revival of a Christian institution. They are able to sustain themselves now. Yes, our financial help is getting multiplied for people unknown to me. It is known to very fewer people.
I couldn’ write this without tears. Now I work hard to sustain the growth. It's really tough. I really wish if I had not spent too much raising the standard of my lifestyle.
I never feel bad for those days for working hard towards saving money. We used to avoid travel. No hotel visits. No vacations. It is all paid back.
I have watched the movie “the pursuits of happiness” over 10 times. I can easily relate myself to it. I cry watching it every time.
I'm almost 40 now. Because of the lifestyle, I feel old. Became more of a spiritual person because everything happened in my life was beyond my imagination. I'm not tired. Currently working on 5 startup ideas. Hope at least one will get to launch.
Above all, I'm sure God loves me as His child.

By Anonyms,

PS: If you are reading this post & this is your story do share your details with me I would love to give the credits to you. Your story is a hell of inspiration for all new freshers in IT industry those who are looking for some motivation.

10 reasons to watch the film A Flying Jatt!

It's been a long time I haven't written any thing on Bollywood movies. So here I come with 10 reasons to watch the film- A Flying Jatt. I know it's too late to give these reasons, as the film is already moved out of single screen cinema theaters & multiplexes. But those who missed watching this now have a chance to watch it on Indian Television aka small screen .

      India’s first flying Superhero:
India’s first flying superhero – A Flying Jatt saves the day in the coolest way. Bestowed not only with this incredible superpower our man can also display some jaw-dropping martial art moves.

      This Superhero has a Supermom
Most of the superheroes that we know pledge to save the world and have lost their parents to an accident. But this super hero has a supermom who constantly reminds him of his duties. A typical Indian mother, she scolds him every time his reluctant to use his superpowers. She definitely is a supermom!

Powers + Killer dance moves = Legendary Superhero
You might be Superman or Batman but one thing our flying Jatt wins at is killer dance moves. Saving the world and burning the dance floor all in one - WOW! Now that is what they call a superhero. Let’s shake our booty on the beat with this superhero.

        The youngest Superhero
Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan also had special powers in movies like Krrish and Ra.One respectively. But what sets Tiger Shroff apart is his age. At 26, he bagged a superhero movie as his third film while the others have had a longer run in films before had a long career preceding their superhero ventures.

      Jatt Fly Karda
As the name suggests, Flying Jatt is all about a superhero who not only goes all out to save his city, but also believes in his prime religious duty of helping mankind. He is the first superhero who has incorporated his human and religious sensibilities in saving his city.

      Accidental superhero
Our very own superhero was not born with these powers but became a superhero by accident. A superhero at heart and-and one who is courageous enough to fight despite being scared is what makes an ordinary man a true superhero.

Do your chores before you catch the ‘chors’
He is no ordinary superhero because, at home, he has to do all the chores like any other child. From lending a helping hand in cleaning the house or buying vegetables, this superhero has to do it all. He might be a superhero for the world but at home, you have to do what your mother asks you to do.

      A hero with a consciousness:
We all have to give back to our society and the Flying Jatt definitely believes in this.  A protector of mother nature and a condemner of pollution, this superhero does all to protect the environment.

      A child at heart:
He might have a serious job at hand but he is a child at heart. This is what sets him apart making him a fun, relatable superhero. He has the superpowers but he also has a child in him who will touch your hearts.

He is coming to meet you soon
This superhero has no airs about having special powers and is very down to earth and humble. So, he has decided to meet you and save his beloved city of Amritsar with the World Television Premiere of his film, A Flying Jatt on 22nd October 2016 at 8PM.

Hope you will enjoy the action with our new super hero - A Flying Jatt. Don't forget to share your views, if you like the film in the comment section.

Tales of Friendship with Zee TV's Yaaron Ki Baraat

We all know that "There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship". This post is dedicated to all those people who have those real friends & got the gift of true "Yaar" in their life.

Recently Zee TV has announced a new chat show " Yaaron Ki Baraat" which is all about celebrating friendship, coming for the first time on Indian Television. The two hosts (Ritesh & Sajid) will spill the beans on the celebrity friendship & will put them on various tests, through the series of challenges & task in a unique way. This show is very special for people like me & it kind of reminds me of my good old days of my college & friendship. As Zee TV takes us on a journey with some quirky tales of friendship, sweet little anecdotes about our friendship & besties, the moments that brought us closer to each other, here I am with my story of my closest Yaar "Meena".

To start with my story, let me tell a little bit about my best friend " Surendra Meena" aka Meena.
How we met is really interesting, this was during my last semester of engineering & I was looking for an internship just to get some extra money & exposure in the industry before I get graduated. I applied to an E-commerce company & got selected as Business development executive. It was my first day of internship & we all gathered for an early morning meeting with all other MBA interns. There was one guy who was interacting with our manager regarding the leads for the day & ongoing deals. The manager asked him to take one of the interns with him on the business meet for the day & to my surprise , he asked me to join him for the meeting. That is where we interacted for the first time. We introduced each other. He was simple & down to earth. On our way to the meeting ,we exchanged contacts & learned about each other. The meeting was successful & we cracked the deal & brought the cheque in the evening.  Our duo got appreciated by the marketing lead & he told me to join Meena in all his leads going forward.

Meena with me in 2009- Bhopal Lake

This is where our friendship started, from a colleague to a true friend the whole journey was fantastic. We started meeting outside working hours as well. Soon we were popular in the company for cracking deals with my technical skills & his marketing knowledge. I was being promoted as Business development manager, all thanks to Meena for his support & regular feedback. We became best buddies in the office & even out of the office. I was staying away from family & he was staying with his brother in a hostel. We started staying overnight at each other's place, partying enjoying after working the whole day. After sometime he introduced me to his family & they were really cool & fun-loving people, soon we planned a road trip with his cousins & some common friends in the new year.

I still remember that was the best new year I have celebrated in my whole life. Now after 6-7 years down the line, we are still close friends though we are living in different cities, he started his own business, I got placed in MNC working as a consultant. We still talk to each other on a regular basis. Whenever I go to my native place, I split my journey & go to his city, just to meet him. We spend the whole day, remembering all the fun, masti we did together. We share all our Up's & Down's with each other. If I have to quote my friendship with Meena in one sentence I would say " A friendship founded on a business is better than a business founded on a friendship".
Guys I am looking forward to this new chat show" Yaaron Ki Baraat". This is the best way we can celebrate the friendship. Revisit the old time & enjoy those old memories. You guys can watch this on Zee TV, it is going live on 8th October at 8 PM. Hope you will like this exciting show with the line-up of super celebrity friendship & all them sharing their untold stories. Ask your friends to join this celebration of friendship with Yaaron Ki Baraat & crazy host (Ritesh & Sajid Khan)

PS: The post is inspired by ZeeTV's upcoming show " Yaaron Ki Baraat"

Affimity - A New Age Social Networking Platform

In this post, I will introduce a Next generation Social network for Bloggers & like minded peoples.
As a blogger, I always look for the content in my niche. Actually, the idea of Interest based communities started with facebook Groups & pages. People started joining these groups to explore the interesting content. During initial phase it actually worked, but as time progressed everything on facebook became so generic with lakh of pages & groups on the same topic. Everything was unorganised & cluttered in a way that you will easily get irritated. Here comes the role of  Affimity- Social network which helps like-minded people to easily connect & share the content seamlessly.

The world has changed a lot with the emergence of social media networking & Internet. Those were the days when we only had very few online networking communities in terms of social media. Yahoo was one of the initial social networks I joined. Later came Orkut, MySpace with an instant popularity & as the time progressed they all vanished due to lack of innovation.  When I started my engineering in computer science, I came across the blogging term. In those days blogging was not a layman term. Very few people really understood the term weblog. Some of them started blogging as a personal diary to share their interests, photos or food recipes. With the innovation of Social media world in the form of Facebook (2008), Twiiter (2009) & Instagram (2012) ordinary people came closer to this exciting world of social media & blogging.

How Affimity is different than other Social networking sites:

Affimity is one step more than social networking. You really need not be a friend with the person you follow. It provides a better home for people who follow their passion & want to explore more about their interest. Who wants to discover & make new friends based on the shared interests without irrelevant noise in the feeds.

The word Affimity is derived from the combination of words Passion (Affinity) & Friendship (Amity). As the name suggests, one can really make a use of this social network to explore the collection of interest-specific social channels available on Affimity.  Started with Food, Family & Technolgy , they have introduced various new channels as per the demand from users. Many more new channels are to be added as the feedback comes from the users across the world. I have been using this social networking site from few months & it has helped me a lot in terms of traffic & acquiring unique content from across the globe. It helped me to connect with experts in my niche & know their views on startups & social media.

If you are also tired of boring stuff on your existing social media with holidays pics, not so funny jokes & shameless self-promotion. You can switch to Affimity to explore the Next Generation social media experience. It has really developed a platform to engage the users in an arranged manner & cut down the clutter by dividing everything into channels.

Affimity is also available on Android PlayStore & iOS : Download here

Please share your experience with Affimity in the comment section. I would love to hear from you about it.

My Ideal Yatra with MP Tourism

We all want to travel & explore the world. Being a wayfarer soul I always look for opportunities to explore the different parts of  our country. Last summer I got an opportunity to explore the heart of India- A state in central part of our country. Due to my work commitments, I had not taken any vacation from last 1 year, when I received the mail from MP tourism for a campaign "MP Mein Dil Hua Bacche Sa", I was so excited. I confirmed my availability, within 2 days I received the trip plan, Spicejet Airlines ticket & Flight Schedule . I was so excited to see the enthralling & historic heritage of Madhya Pradesh.

Finally, the day had arrived when I started my journey from Mumbai to Bhopal (The capital of M.P.). I took a cab to reach the Mumbai airport. To avoid any rush, I used the Spicejet Web-Check-In option. It was so convenient & smooth. I boarded the plane. After 2 hours of flight, I reached the Raja Bhoj International airport of Bhopal & a cab was waiting for me to take me to the Hotel. One of the officials was waiting for us at the Hotel "Jehan Numa Palace", one of the best heritage hotel of Bhopal. I was amazed to see the greenery & the locality of the hotel. The white structure of Hotel with the combination of British colonial & classical Geek architecture was the centre of attraction for everyone.  There were around 10 other travellers who were also invited from the different part of the country. The itinerary of the campaign was handed over to us with some maps & booklets of MP Tourism. Later, we all checked into our rooms to get some rest & get ready for Bhopal Darshan.

Hotel Jahan Numa Palace
DAY 1-

We all gathered after 1 hour of rest at the hotel lounge. We had a wonderful lunch together. The Bhopali food was awesome. We all went in a mini bus to explore the various exciting places in Bhopal which included some of the popular points in & around the city like Moti Masjid, Gohar Mehal, Taj-Ul- Masjid, BojTal & lots of lakes around the city.

After finishing all heritage places the bus took us to the Van-Vihar which was nearby to our hotel & on the banks of Bojtal (Also known as Badi lake). I enjoyed this place a lot , an open zoological park with lots greenery & animals. After an eventful & a day full of excitement, we came back to Hotel. I was a little bit tired, but the lavish environment of hotel & Bhopal made me to forgot everything. The day was called off. We were asked to do some social media promotion & also to share the experience so far. After the dinner, I went to my room to sleep.

To know more about bhopal read my post: My Lake City Bhopal #Madeofgreat

DAY 2-

The day two started with breakfast & a session with MP tourism official on the campaign. We were briefed about the whole new concept of tourism & how MP tourism is promoting the heritage , abundant natural beauty & holy places of M.P., after the session we have been asked to leave for our next destination -Sanchi. The one of the Unesco world heritage in India was waiting for us. After a ride of 42 km by car, we all reached to the venue. The place was just awesome.

Sanchi Stupa

Snazzyawi exploring Sanchi

We all explored the place with the help of an official tourist guide. We saw the famous  Buddhist Stupas, Gupta temple & Udyagiri caves. I felt so enlightened after knowing the history of Sanchi & Stupas. It was really a journey of enlightenment. The visit to Sanchi really brought the awe moment which we felt as a child when we listened to the tales of Ashoka. The whole day we enjoyed the silence of the temples, monasteries & sacred architectural monuments. At the end of the day, we returned to our hotel with lots of memories & pictures for the lifetime.

The next day  I took my return flight to Mumbai with a relaxed mind full of joy & peace. This was really an amazing Yatra with MP Tourism. All travel lovers must visit the state of Madhya Pradesh to experience the wonderful tourist spots in order to discover something new.
Please do share your experiences, If any of you visited the heart of India. I would love to hear your Ideal Yatra.
